"Better Athlete" symbolizes a comprehensive approach to training and include aspects: strength, stability, mobility, speed, which the client is then able to use in sport, as well as in everyday activities. In the training we will focus on exercises and movement patterns that will be maximally effective for you, so your time will be used as efficiently as possible. "Better Athlete" is not only designed to develop the physical abilities for athletes, but is also fully applicable to people who have no experience with sports and just want to feel better or achieve a specific goal. So it is not a classic "fitness", but a multi-faceted training where you will touch the iron, hang on the bar, jump on the box, improve your reactions, starts and much more. Training sessions are held in a private gym. This allows us to fully focus on training itself and achieve the progress.

PERSONAL TRAINER


A training unit is designed to meet your individual goals. In terms of service, the best way to achieve the results you want, as all training takes place under my guidance and any deficiencies can be fixed right on the spot. Your goal may be to get stronger for next season or just to feel better and lose some weight. Whatever your goal is, together we will find the best possible way to achieve it.

TRAINING PLAN


The training plan is suitable for those who already have some experience with exercise and know the technique of the exercises (squat, deadlift, press). If you can't make it to a personal training session and have been exercising for a while, you can choose this option.

Online coaching


Collaboration takes place completely in an online environment. But you need to be very responsible because I don't have the opportunity to see you during the training (technique, self-responsibility...). This defect is partially eliminated by analyzing the videos you send me. Online support is of course available to you all the time. If you are a complete beginner, this service is not for you and you should rather take advantage of personal training from me or a trainer in your area.

CONSULTATION


The topic for a joint consultation can be: diet, recovery, training plan... If you are interested in modifying your diet plan, we will go through the basic principles of eating and show you some variations of meals. At the same time, I will analyze your current diet and suggest a modification. I don't do a customized diet plan, because in 99% of cases it's not needed and it's also challenging in terms of long-term sustainability. If you still want your diet to be calorie-accurate, I'll show you how to do it in the meeting.

ABOUT ME


My name is Matěj Kresl and since childhood I have been doing sports - athletics, swimming. In the second grade of primary school I started to play lacrosse actively, I continue to do so these days. As it is a physically demanding and contact sport, weight training has become an essential part of improving my athletic performance. In terms of exercise, I try to develop as much as possible and draw from multiple disciplines (Calisthenics, Powerlifting, Weightlifting, Athletics...) from which I try to choose the best possible path for myself and my clients to meet their goals. I believe that the body should look aesthetically good and be functional at the same time. For this idea, I created the concept of "BalancedAthlete", which I follow and apply to my clients. Since I have been in the sports environment all my life, the next logical step for me was to pass my coaching exams and I am currently profiling myself as a personal trainer. I am actively educating myself in self-development (diet, recovery, training methods, biohacking...) which is a form of never ending study that I find fulfilling and it also brings greater advancement to me and my clients. My next goal is to obtain the NCSC international certification.
